About the role
The Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production facilities through preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance on various industrial equipment, including pumps, piping, hydraulics, pneumatics, and gearboxes. The role requires mechanical troubleshooting, teamwork, and adherence to safety practices. The position involves physically demanding tasks and working in varying temperatures, with opportunities for development.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, test, and repair mechanical components on industrial equipment such as pumps, piping, hydraulics, pneumatics, and gearboxes.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation of production facilities.
- Interpret schematics and manuals to support maintenance and repair work.
- Operate maintenance tools and equipment.
- Document work using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Requirements
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and CMMS updates.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with HVAC, boilers, and chillers.
- Welding experience.
- Experience with precision tools.
- Experience with SAP.
