Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, plumbing, fire systems, etc.)
  • Respond to maintenance work orders and building repair needs promptly
  • Maintain clean and safe workspaces in accordance with safety regulations
  • Support general facility upkeep including minor construction, carpentry, and painting as required
  • Conduct regular preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machines such as CNC machines, lasers, and water jets
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures and malfunctions; make necessary repairs or escalate as needed
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime
  • Maintain maintenance logs and documentation for all equipment serviced
  • Coordinate with external service providers for specialized equipment repairs and large-scale facility maintenance
  • Sources, evaluates, and manages vendors for cost-effective and timely service
  • Oversee contractor work to ensure compliance with company standards, timelines, and safety procedures
  • Track and verify vendor invoices and maintenance-related purchases

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in facilities and industrial equipment maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of CNC machines, laser cutters, water jets, and other precision manufacturing tools
  • Familiarity with reading mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and maintenance manuals
  • Basic understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform physical tasks in varying conditions
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, including vendor coordination
  • Proficiency with maintenance tracking software (e.g., CMMS) is a plus

Work Environment

  • Combination of office, manufacturing, and maintenance floor environments
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and moving mechanical parts
  • May require occasional evening or weekend hours to support emergency repairs

Pay

$25-28 per hour.
