Maintenance Technician

About the opportunity

RHI Magnesita is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our Greensboro, NC plant. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining and improving the reliability of mechanical and electrical systems across the plant.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
• Replace electrical components such as relays, switches, motors, and sensors
• Rewire motors and replace motor bearings
• Troubleshoot and replace electronic components
• Read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics and prints
• Perform basic wiring and PLC troubleshooting
• Test malfunctioning machinery and collaborate with maintenance personnel to resolve issues
• Lead by example in enforcing company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations
• Promote a strong safety-first culture across the facility
• Maintain accurate repair records and preventive maintenance documentation
• Support plant operations during off-hours as needed

What You Bring

• 6 - 7 years of experience in a fast-paced industrial maintenance environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred
• Knowledge of safety standards in an industrial environment
• Experience providing hands-on training and developing team capabilities
• Commitment to continuous improvement and operational efficiency
• Strong communication skills and ability to foster a collaborative, open-door team culture
