Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in building maintenance, preferably in a residential or hospitality environment
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair work
- Professional licenses/certifications are preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must have excellent knowledge of administrative functions, review of vendor proposals if/when needed, work in collaboration with the Resident Manager.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs and maintenance in residential units and common areas, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and drywall work
- Respond promptly to service requests and work orders, ensuring timely and professional completion
- Conduct routine inspections of building systems and report deficiencies to the Resident Manager
- Aid in preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance of equipment and systems
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, workshops, and storage spaces
- Support building operations, including assisting porters and other staff as needed
- Adhere to all safety protocols, building policies, and union guidelines
- Provide courteous and professional interaction with residents at all times
