Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Equipment Troubleshooting
• Conduct repairs in a timely manner
• Maintain operating supply levels and submit requisitions
• Perform hot work, confined spaces, and high altitude work safely
• Keep work area and department clean and organized
• Follow instructions of the Maintenance Supervisor
• Train other crew members as required
• Preventive Maintenance
• Conduct daily checks on boilers, air compressors, and dust collectors
• Conduct preventive maintenance on process and facility equipment (e.g., Changing filters, Oiling chains, Dust/vacuum particles)
• Production Support
• Ensure all equipment is operational at optimal capacity
• Troubleshoot equipment when production team reports out-of-normal conditions
• Mix dry (powdered) chemicals in blender for shift's production
• Assist disc operator with pumping of liquid bulk totes of chemicals
• Change screens on separators
• Regulation and Compliance Support
• Support plant ISO program, lean manufacturing, and process improvement initiatives
• Support regulatory audits (e.g., Waste-water or Storm water audit/testing, Fire safety inspections, OSHA / County / Insurance)
• Ensure warehouse, office, and building needs are met by conducting work or sourcing assistance

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of and experience in industrial three-phase, motor control, and networking
