Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Uses hand tools, power tools and delicate testing equipment in performance of duties
• Completes basic maintenance procedures with minimal supervision
• Complete complex Maintenance with limited supervision
• Completes maintenance request work orders for regulated and un-regulated systems
• Performs routine checks/inspection routes. Records equipment readings and changes chart paper
• Effective documentation of Preventive Maintenance and Calibration under the GMP, development and research umbrella
• Complete Equipment Activation following established procedure
• Schedule self-performed work assigned at beginning of month and due by end of month
• Schedules and escorts contractors through facility for routine deliveries or inspections. Ensuring they complete activities per procedure or agreements
• Recommend facility improvements to meet OSHA safety, ISPE or FDA guidelines
• Create maintenance procedures, and update existing procedures to match best practices and lessons learned
• Identifies and orders spare or replacement parts for equipment utilizing inventory management system
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent, advanced technical certification preferred
• 2-4 years’ experience in industrial maintenance supporting a manufacturing facility, preferably in a cGMP related environment
