Primary Job Responsibilities
- Practice proper PPE compliance, maintain a safe working record and environment
- Immediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts or injuries to Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager
- Practice proper forklift operation
- Maintain facility housekeeping
- Maintain and build job skills through company training programs
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment that is not operating properly
- Ensure that all equipment is kept in a proper and safe working condition
- Communicate with all plant and support staff
- Understand and practice PLP core values
Job Skills
- Advanced industrial mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic skills including troubleshooting
- Understanding of PLP manufacturing process including troubleshooting
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and communicate to other plant personnel
- Understanding of purpose and proper use of small hand and power tools
- Strong time management and task prioritization skills
- Ability to troubleshoot simple and complex system
- Basic computer skills
- Self-motivation
Education Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Continued education certifications, preferred
- Industrial Electrician License or Certification, preferred
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience as line operator or similar training/experience
- Plastic pipe extrusion and/or CNC machine experience
- Previous maintenance experience in manufacturing industry
