About the role
The Maintenance Technician handles day-to-day maintenance tasks including grounds work, plumbing, minor electrical work, basic carpentry, troubleshooting HVAC and food service equipment, wall repair, Building Engine PM, painting, special projects, and seasonal snow removal.
Schedule
- 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Availability for on-call rotation per policy (typically once per month)
- Additional availability may be required in the event of an emergency
Pay
$21.40 - $23.33 per hour, based on relevant experience and skill set.
Requirements
Education/Training
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Ability to read printed labels and instructions (required)
- Hoisting License Certification or basic training certification in Building Maintenance (preferred)
- Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of maintenance experience (required)
- Knowledge of building trades such as painting, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems (required)
- Previous experience in Building Maintenance (preferred)
- Experience with Building System software work order programs (required)
Physical Abilities/Skills
- Frequent bending, standing, stooping, stretching, and lifting
- Ability to lift heavy objects (50 – 100 lbs. assisted), such as appliances and furniture
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders and access all areas of the buildings
- Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations
- Participate in the Emergency on-call Rotation per set schedule
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet all PSI Safe Driver Criteria
- Operate equipment and delivery 12-passenger vans and box trucks for maintenance during winter season
