Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

  • Conduct, behavior and actions in accordance with company core values of Caring, Creativity, Determination, Dependability and Teamwork.
  • Manages a preventative maintenance schedule and performs preventative maintenance work on all production equipment.
  • Partners with contractors to resolve problems in installation of new equipment.
  • Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair then performs the repairs.
  • Dismantles machines or equipment, using hand tools or power tools, to examine parts for defects or to remove or repair defective parts.
  • Assembles and test operates machine to verify correction of malfunction. Maintains and lubricates machine tools and equipment. May weld parts, using arc or gas welding equipment.

  • Works with outside vendors to find and procure needed parts for equipment.
  • Performs routine facilities maintenance including painting, floor cleaning, HVAC/plumbing/electrical repairs as needed.
  • Performs all work in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Drive company vehicles as needed to obtain necessary tools and supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent. PREFERRED: Associates Degree in manufacturing or skilled trade such as machining, carpentry, electrical, etc.
  • Experience: REQUIRED: 2 years in maintenance role in a manufacturing environment. PREFERRED: 5 years in maintenance role in a manufacturing environment.

Other Qualifications

  • Must be qualified to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.
  • Good oral and written English communication skills.
  • Must possess accuracy, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to deal effectively with fellow employees at all levels of the organizational structure.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and stressful situations.
  • Possess a professional appearance and attitude in order to portray a positive image for Converted Products, LLC.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be able to read and understand a ruler down to a 1/32 of an inch.
  • Must have math skills for conversions in multiple units of measure.
  • Experience in using computer software in spreadsheets, word processors, and email.
