Maintenance Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine, repetitive daily inspection, and maintenance necessary.
• Aid and perform semiskilled tasks of a general nature in connection with maintenance, repair, and construction tasks in the upkeep of the manufacturing facility.
• Aid and perform installation, maintenance, repair, and construction work in the basic building maintenance trades, such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, and mechanics.
• Perform warehouse duties in connection with receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
• Receive warehouse goods and materials and check them against purchase orders and delivery documentation to ensure correctness of merchandise and proper condition.
• Maintain warehouse and shelving in clean and orderly conditions.
• Inspect properties and communicate with management regarding proper grounds keeping and general cleanup and maintenance.
• Perform general grounds keeping on a daily basis; inspect outside areas, ensure disposal areas are kept clean and in a safe condition.
• Prepare and paint walls and woodwork or perform other types of refinishing; install or repair carpet; perform custodial duties as required.
• Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance schedules and MSDS sheets.
• Perform weekly safety checks throughout the facility to ensure a safe and clean environment for employees and visitors of the facility and to eliminate all hazards.

Pay

The base rate for this position is $25 to $30/hr, with the potential for up to an additional 25% if the applicant has additional related qualifications.
