Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on building systems, equipment, and machinery to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to identify issues and implement effective repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests, staff, and management, and prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact on operations.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of building systems, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, elevators, and generators, to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection findings, maintenance activities, and equipment performance to facilitate tracking and reporting.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations such as power outages, plumbing leaks, and other critical incidents, and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks and minimize disruptions to operations.
- Cook up general repairs and maintenance tasks to upkeep the appearance and functionality of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
- Aid with renovations, remodeling projects, and equipment upgrades to enhance the overall guest experience and maintain the competitiveness of our property.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures related to maintenance operations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and safety inspections.
Qualifications
- Provide high-level customer service, communicate effectively with guests and team members, follow instructions, ability to learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and maintain composure when working under pressure
- Technical skills: Solid experience performing repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen and laundry equipment; General carpentry skills; knowledge and use of basic hand and power tools required.
- Experience / Education: Minimum 1 year of general building maintenance or equivalent in a trade profession; Vocational School Certification preferred.
- Physical Demands: This is a very physically demanding job that requires extended periods of walking, standing, bending, lifting, twisting and kneeling. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable eligible individuals to perform the essential functions.
