Maintenance Technician
Your Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on atomization equipment, including vacuum pumps, metal atomization systems, cooling water systems, dust collectors, blenders, and powder screening equipment
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to minimize production downtime
- Maintain and support plant environmental systems, including air filtration and ventilation systems
- Collaborate closely with production and quality control teams to identify, analyze, and resolve equipment-related issues
- Install, test, and commission new equipment and systems in compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all employees
- Utilize the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to manage daily work orders and respond to operational requests related to facility maintenance and plant safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient maintenance shop in accordance with 5S methodologies
- Assist with training maintenance technicians, plant operators, and other personnel as needed
- Manage maintenance parts inventory, including ordering, stocking, and inventory control
- Partner with engineers and operators to observe, test, and evaluate equipment operation to diagnose root-cause failures and implement corrective actions
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
Your Profile
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience, with demonstrated knowledge of general maintenance and repair of building systems, including equipment, lighting, and electrical power and distribution systems.
- High school diploma or GED required; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Working knowledge and hands-on skills in basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical wiring.
- Proven mechanical aptitude, with the ability to assemble and disassemble mechanical systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
