Responsibilities
- Fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines
- Rebuilding, repairing, and/or replacing equipment/machinery/parts
- Performing preventative maintenance
- Installing equipment/machinery/parts
- Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems as directed by supervisor
- Completing daily required reporting as well as additional reports as instructed
- Collaborating with management and other departments regarding maintenance issues throughout the facility
- Completing all assignments in priority order as delegated by the supervisor
- Completing startup procedures when appropriate
- Notifying supervisor of any unusual conditions which may result in downtime
- Completing assignment tickets in accurate and timely manner
- Recording all crisis and unscheduled work orders on the assignment ticket
- Responding to crisis situations in an expedient manner
- Maintaining tools in good working order
- Returning all borrowed tools to owning area
- Completing all work & safety training as designated by plant management
- Responding to crisis situations as assigned by supervisor
- Ensuring that all appropriate safety procedures are followed
- Participating in cost control measures including the return of all unused material to supply
Qualifications
- Demonstrated 2 years or more working in Maintenance
- Mechanical skills and understanding of basic machine functions
- Ability to use common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches
- Basic computer skills
- Willingness to work and be on time when scheduled
- Ability to read, write and speak English preferred
- Strong work ethic and eye for detail
- Exemplary safety record (with previous employer)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Prior industry experience preferred
- General knowledge of plant layout and production floor equipment and processes
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older

- Hourly wage for this position starts at $26.00 per hour up to $34.50 per hour depending on experience
