Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Ensures that Indicon production lines are functioning in an efficient manner. Provides both preventative maintenance and daily maintenance when needed.

Shift Timings

6am - 2:30pm EST

Qualifications

  • Associates degree required from an accredited university in a technical background (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar) or equivalent experience.

  • Experience with electrical equipment.

  • Experience with plumbing.

  • Experience with air compressor systems.

  • Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions, read blueprints, drawings, and schematics.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills – able to identify and analyze data and resolve problems in a timely manner.

  • Proficiency in computerized systems: Outlook, Word & Excel is required.

  • Demonstrated advanced mechanical, technical, and analytical capabilities.

  • Mechanical experience in a custom make to order environment.

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Demonstrates good judgment and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be willing to work additional hours when required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Preventive Maintenance for manufacturing equipment/ maintaining equipment and instruments.

  • Maintaining the highest standards in compliance within company policies, procedures, and all applicable regulations.

  • Independently execute manufacturing-support.

  • Aid in efficiency projects and upgrades.

  • Support schedule adjustments to meet production requirements; Review visual schedule.

  • Aid in implementing new assembly processes to reduce manufacturing costs for all current Indicon produced products.

  • Retrieve and analyze trend charts and process data on trained procedures.

  • Aid in audit preparation and participation.

  • Offer suggestions and follow up on process improvements related to safety, compliance, cost, yield, and productivity.

  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and 5S related performance teams.

  • Practice good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Identify machine errors.

  • Aid in R&D prototype and development when required.

  • Attend departmental and other scheduled meetings.

  • Learn new skills, procedures and processes as assigned by management and continue to develop expertise.

  • Proactively maintain a clean and safe work environment, take necessary action to eliminate safety hazards, and communicate to others any observed unsafe behaviors.

  • Carry out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines, including FDA, EPA, and OSHA.
