Maintenance Technician
About the role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment to ensure maximum uptime. This role executes mechanical and electrical repairs while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Execute preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and work orders to ensure equipment reliability and production uptime.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on plant machinery.
- Diagnose technical issues and perform root-cause analysis to minimize recurring downtime.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately within the digital work order system.
- Support the installation, modification, and startup of new production equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety, food safety (SQF/HACCP), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Assist with departmental project work and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a maintenance role or a similar industrial/technical field.
- Technical trade school certification or equivalent maintenance experience is preferred.
- Experience working in a food production or manufacturing environment is considered a strong plus.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Able to follow technical manuals, SOPs, and safety protocols with high attention to detail.

Compensation
Base Wage Scale: $26.52 to $27.10 per hour.
