Maintenance Technician

Your Tasks

• Operate machinery and mechanical equipment by completing troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listen for problems; use precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; use hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examine form and texture of parts.
• Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitor compliance.
• Implement and inspect equipment maintenance according to maintenance schedule, conduct machine set up, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance service.
• Ensure work area and equipment are maintained, organized, and clean to MAPAL standards.
• Exhibit all Mapal Inc. behaviors as defined by policy, procedure, and standards.
• Update, refine, and adjust written flow charts, work instructions, and/or standards for each position responsibility as needed or required.
• Participate actively in all cross-functional team projects and assignments as directed by Manufacturing Director.

Qualifications

• Experienced Maintenance Technician with focus on electrical, instrumentation, PLC.
• Demonstrated experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Specific skill set in a hands-on work environment of installation and maintenance of equipment and machinery.
• Demonstrated ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and perform required work.
• Skilled in understanding troubleshooting, process workflow.
• Positive, 'Can do' attitude and approach.
