Responsibilities
- Compete assigned work orders for the day, and document work performed using the internal documentation process.
- Distribute the shift report at the end of every shift communicating tasks accomplished during the shift.
- Originate and process urgent work orders when assigned.
- Perform rounds and complete checklists each shift on the designated production line.
- Attend daily assigned meetings to assist in identifying priorities for the day.
- Rapidly respond to urgent priority (priority1) calls to address the issue in a timely manner.
- Assist in Root Cause Analysis when involved in the associated failure.
- Troubleshoot and repair problems with all equipment (production, facilities, auxiliary, etc.).
- Identify electrical and mechanical issues by using available test equipment (meters, meggers, strobe lights, etc.).
- Repair and/or replace defective electrical or mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose, analyze, and repair electronic, electro-mechanical, and instrumentation equipment, operating in all areas, utilizing meters, gauges, and other testing methods.
- Troubleshoot PLC hardware and software.
- Aid in identifying parts for repairs.
- Aid in the installation of new equipment and equipment modification projects.
- Document all modifications made to equipment during repairs.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience working in a similar role with industrial equipment or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- A two (2) year technical degree in related area, preferred.
- Basic electrical/electronic circuit knowledge required.
- Working knowledge of motor control systems, PLCs, and communications systems.
- Working knowledge of production and support equipment.
- Ability to read prints, assembly drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Intermediate mechanical knowledge required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Ability to work well under pressure independently and as part of a team.
