Maintenance Technician

About the Role

Perform the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our skilled nursing facility. Ensure the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner under the direction of the Administrator.

Responsibilities

• Implement facility maintenance policies and procedures efficiently and cost-effectively to ensure resident safety and comfort.
• Follow all federal, state, and local maintenance compliance requirements.
• Implement monitoring systems for the maintenance department and make recommendations to ensure compliance.
• Notify supervisor when maintenance supplies are needed.
• Notify supervisor of equipment or facility areas that require repair.
• Understand and apply general maintenance procedures.
• Perform maintenance and repair tasks according to facility policies and procedures.
• Follow all aspects of the facility safety program.
• Work cooperatively with residents, resident representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants, and ancillary service providers.
• Perform other related duties as directed by the supervisor.
