Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, fixtures, property, and structures.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintain, repair, and overhaul equipment and property.
- Report problems to General Manager.
- Paint walls, ceilings, fixtures, building, and equipment to prevent corrosion.
- Hang wall fixtures, replace light bulbs and filters, and shampoo carpets.
- Make local deliveries and pick-ups.
- Walk the property—interior and exterior, every morning and evening.
- Maintain parking lot, pool, and grounds area according to established quality standards.
- Conduct preventative maintenance according to preventative maintenance log schedule.
- Work in accordance with General Manager and Regional Maintenance Manager to set up and complete special and on-going projects and maintains a preventative maintenance program.
- Determine maintenance needs and maintain all sidewalks and keep them clean and clear of debris and/or snow and ice.
- Follow key control policies, practices, and procedures.
- Keep current on all information pertaining to any equipment or machinery on property.
- Comply with OSHA standards to provide a safe work environment.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience
- Some maintenance experience preferred.
- Hotel experience is a plus, but not required.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record – satisfactory criminal background screening required – professional references.

Expected Hours of Work
This position requires variable hours based on the needs of the hotel.
