About the role
Responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of operations/production equipment.
Responsibilities
- Request support from other Maintenance Techs and Maintenance Managers, as necessary.
- Safely perform maintenance tasks using basic hand tools and basic power tools; experience with machine shop equipment preferred; ability to weld or experience with metal fabrication preferred.
- Diagnose/resolve issues with production welders, torches, saws, and metal finishing equipment in a timely fashion; experience with sand blast, powder coat, oven, or conveyor systems preferred.
- Diagnose/maintain/install production hoists in a timely fashion.
- Diagnose/resolve issues with overhead roll doors throughout the facility.
- Safely and proficiently operate fork trucks and aerial lifts; experience with rigging preferred.
- Safely and proficiently perform maintenance electrical tasks, including troubleshooting and movement of circuits; experience using a multi-meter or other electrical testing equipment preferred.
- Safely and proficiently perform maintenance mechanical tasks, including troubleshooting and rebuild; experience rebuilding/maintaining weld feeders, plasma torches, and saws preferred.
- Troubleshoot PLC controlled equipment as well as all plant electrical and mechanical systems including AC/DC motors, distribution systems, HVAC systems, VFD Drives, pneumatic and Hydraulic systems, and air compressors. Ability to work with 480 volts.
- Read mechanical prints.
- Support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime.
- Implement and sustain 5S standards.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Execute work from daily schedule; experience with performing preventative maintenance tasks to set standard preferred.
- Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and candor with the entire Maintenance team to create trust, and support their passion for winning; must be reliable and prompt.
- Maintain a positive attitude and care about people.
Qualifications
- Able to work as a part of a team to achieve the company’s overall goals.
- Demonstrate clear verbal and written communication skills (English).
- Read and process written communication including, but not limited to, work orders, frame prints, math and measurements.
- Meet production goals and time deadlines for company projects.
- Work with minimum supervision.
- Demonstrate understanding and execution of machine operation and repair techniques.
- Demonstrate welding competency and knowledge of welding systems.
- Operate appropriate equipment including repair tooling and devices, arc and MIG welders, band saws, acetylene torches, tape measures, etc.
- Physically lift and maneuver items over 50 pounds.
- Operate a lift truck or tractor as necessary.
- Exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, customers, etc.
- Work under physically and mentally stressful situations.
- Prioritize and adapt to changes through the day.

Pay
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule
This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager.
