Responsibilities
- Follows and upholds the community's philosophy and goal to maintain, improve and/or enhance each residents quality of care and quality of life
- Follows and upholds policies and procedures of the community
- Attends and participates in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assigned
- Follows infection control guidelines
- Observes residents rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, etc.
- Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests
- Safely operates machinery and equipment
- Maintains and cleans all flooring material
- Affords assistance in laundry and housekeeping departments as needed
- Affords assistance with resident transportation/driving duties as needed including; driving residents to and from appointments, assisting residents on and off the vehicle, pushing their wheelchair as necessary, etc.
- May be on-call as assigned
Requirements
- Knowledgeable in all areas of building maintenance
- Ability to work independently
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in building maintenance preferred
Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Physical stamina for manual labor
