Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Follows and upholds the community's philosophy and goal to maintain, improve and/or enhance each residents quality of care and quality of life
• Follows and upholds policies and procedures of the community
• Attends and participates in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assigned
• Follows infection control guidelines
• Observes residents rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, etc.
• Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests
• Safely operates machinery and equipment
• Maintains and cleans all flooring material
• Affords assistance in laundry and housekeeping departments as needed
• Affords assistance with resident transportation/driving duties as needed including; driving residents to and from appointments, assisting residents on and off the vehicle, pushing their wheelchair as necessary, etc.
• May be on-call as assigned

Requirements

• Knowledgeable in all areas of building maintenance
• Ability to work independently

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience in building maintenance preferred

Skills

• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Physical stamina for manual labor
