Maintenance Technician

About the role

LGI Homes is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Central Texas for their single-family rental business, LGI Living. As a Top 10 Homebuilder and 2022 Top Workplace USA, LGI Homes is one of the nation's fastest-growing companies.

Responsibilities

• Support the Leasing Operations for LGI Living through managing maintenance work orders, including communication and scheduling with tenants and vendors.
• Provide basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC repairs and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot as needed and assess the need for more significant repairs with designated vendors.
• Get homes to "ready-to-rent" status.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
• Assist with other projects as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of facility maintenance experience is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems is required.
• An Associates Degree in a related technical or mechanical field is also preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

The Maintenance Technician must be self-motivated and looking to grow with a rapidly expanding business.
