Responsibilities
- Conducting regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Performing preventive maintenance tasks on a variety of equipment, ensuring they are always in optimal working condition.
- Responding to emergency breakdowns and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborating with the engineering team to understand machinery operation and maintenance requirements.
- Documenting all maintenance work for record-keeping and future reference.
- Ensuring all safety protocols and procedures are adhered to during maintenance work.
- Assisting in the installation of new equipment and machinery.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and maintenance techniques.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the Engineering industry or a similar role.
- A strong understanding of preventive maintenance techniques and practices.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A degree or diploma in a relevant field is preferred.
- Certifications in relevant areas would be an added advantage.
