Maintenance Technician

Job Details

  • Responsibilities:
    • Perform regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure optimal operation.
    • Implement and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program, including scheduling regular maintenance, documenting procedures and results, and tracking equipment lifespan.
    • Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to understand and mitigate recurring issues and improve machinery performance.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
    • Train other staff members on proper maintenance procedures and potential equipment issues.
    • Provide emergency repairs promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
    • Recommend upgrades or replacements for old or inefficient equipment.
    • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment, and place orders as necessary.
  • Qualifications:
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance as a Technician
    • Technical degree or certification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proven experience with troubleshooting and repairing conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics
    • Extensive knowledge of and experience with implementing preventative maintenance programs.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues.
    • Proficient in using various tools, including hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly and understandably.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
    • Strong commitment to safety and compliance with all safety regulations.
    • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
