Job Details
- Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure optimal operation.
- Implement and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program, including scheduling regular maintenance, documenting procedures and results, and tracking equipment lifespan.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to understand and mitigate recurring issues and improve machinery performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Train other staff members on proper maintenance procedures and potential equipment issues.
- Provide emergency repairs promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Recommend upgrades or replacements for old or inefficient equipment.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment, and place orders as necessary.
- Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance as a Technician
- Technical degree or certification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience with troubleshooting and repairing conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with implementing preventative maintenance programs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues.
- Proficient in using various tools, including hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly and understandably.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance with all safety regulations.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
