Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and machinery
- Diagnose the root causes of recurring equipment problems and implement solutions to reduce downtime
- Perform preventative and proactive maintenance on plant equipment
- Respond to emergency maintenance needs as required
- Support the production department with equipment-related issues
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and scheduling maintenance projects
- Submit requisitions for materials, parts, and supplies needed for maintenance projects
- Identify opportunities to improve plant equipment, maintenance processes, and overall productivity
- Recommend improvements to existing maintenance programs and systems
- Ensure equipment operates safely and in compliance with OSHA requirements
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe maintenance shop, tool crib, and related work areas
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Work overtime and/or off-shift hours when necessary
Qualifications
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial plant
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong industrial electrical background
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining stamping presses and welding equipment
- Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and diagnostics
- Hands-on mechanical maintenance experience
- Hydraulic maintenance experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Safety-conscious approach with knowledge of OSHA requirements
- High-energy, positive, hands-on approach to maintenance and problem solving
