What this job involves
As a Maintenance Technician at JLL, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the operational excellence of our client facilities. This hands-on position focuses on the inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned properties. Working closely with the Site Facility Supervisor while also operating independently on defined tasks, you'll help maintain safe, functional, and well-maintained environments that support our clients' business operations. Your technical expertise and proactive approach will directly contribute to tenant satisfaction and the seamless operation of the facilities under your care.
What your day-to-day will look like
- Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, and other installed equipment and components
- Conduct assigned facility inspections and due diligence assessments, documenting conditions that impact client occupancy and operations
- Execute general interior maintenance tasks including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture systems, doors, and replacing lighting and ballasts
- Support the operations team with building and equipment maintenance, moving office furniture, machinery, and materials as requested
- Maintain HVAC systems by cleaning coils, changing filters and belts, and performing routine equipment checks
- Utilize CMMS systems such as 360 Facility to document all work performed and escalate issues to customers and managers promptly
- Remain on-call for emergency service calls and participate in required work and safety meetings
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-3 years of applicable experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work
- A valid state driver's license
- Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs and climb ladders up to 30 feet, with frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving
- All licenses required by the authority having jurisdiction for the role
- Demonstrated customer service skills and strong interpersonal abilities
- Completion of all required safety training as scheduled
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using CMMS platforms such as 360 Facility or similar work order management systems
- Knowledge of state, county, or city ordinances, codes, and laws related to facility maintenance
- Ability to complete hazard assessments and maintain compliance with safety procedures
- Experience with proper storage, usage, and disposal protocols for hazardous materials
- Familiarity with defensive driving practices
- Understanding of good housekeeping standards and ability to identify and propose elimination of safety hazards
- Track record of maintaining organized work areas and adhering to safety protocols
