Maintenance Technician
The Job
Following all safety rules, policies and practices
Performing preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components and observing operations to determine proper functions
Performing emergency/breakdown maintenance as necessary to support plant operations
Using multi-meter(s) to test electrical circuits, components, etc. using DC or AC voltage
Reading and understanding electrical block diagrams and wiring schematics
Exchanging motors, gearboxes, sheaves, sprockets, belts, chains, etc. with proper alignment upon assembly
Fully understanding functions of limit and proximity switches and their effects to PLC’s
Troubleshooting AC and DC drive systems to determine cause of faults or failures
Troubleshooting hydraulic systems controlled by switches or PLC’s
Troubleshooting pneumatic systems from solenoids, switches, valves, etc.
Knowledge with conveyor system and their operations
Familiar with a diverse range of hand tools and their operations such as grinders, drills, Metabo, reciprocating saws, etc.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in respect to the “5-S Program”
Openly communicate
Effectively work with internal customers in the facility to maintain a strong working relationship between production employees and maintenance employees
