Maintenance Technician

About the role

Indus Management Group is a property management company in Houston specializing in renovating and restoring distressed multifamily properties. We specialize in the Class B & C property space, with approximately 11,000 units under management. The Maintenance Technician supports the Property Manager in the efficient management of all maintenance-related work on the property.

Responsibilities

• Installs new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
• Inspects HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety
• Performs preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to increase longevity
• Conducts performance tests with specialized tools
• Troubleshoot HVAC system issues and repair damages
• Supervises electrical issues at the property
• Maintains inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources
• Works within the safety guidelines outlined by the Maintenance Manager /or the Company
• Supports, trains, and develops maintenance employees and teams for future growth
• Must be willing to work on call as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate's degree from an HVAC program preferred
• Two (2) years of HVAC experience in the multi-family/residential industry required
• Valid state driver’s license
• EPA 608 Universal Certification
• Preferably HVAC Type (1) License
