Job Responsibilities
- Learning the processes of how products are made and all the steps that go into it.
- Learning about site-specific equipment and how it should properly function.
- Maintaining smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshooting specific industrial equipment by using precise measuring and testing instruments.
- Dismantling and reassembling of equipment using hand and power tools.
- Inspecting and assessing the wear and remaining useful life of various power transmission components.
- Utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with the Company’s procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications
- The position is subject to 24-hour call-out, shift, and weekend work.
- Must be able to stand for long periods.
- Must be able to climb stairs and work in high-up areas.
- Proven experience working in and maintaining a safe work environment with intimate knowledge of LOTO procedures or other relevant safety practices.
- 3 years maintenance experience in manufacturing environment.
- Millwright skills, welding and machining experience preferred.
- Excellent working knowledge of appropriate use of hand tools and maintenance equipment.
- Must be able to work with computer-based maintenance software.
- Must supply own hand tools appropriate to the equipment and environment.
