Maintenance Technician

Essential Functions

• Performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical, vehicle servicing, and lawn/landscaping.
• Must be knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in all areas of general maintenance.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within all areas of general maintenance.
• Regularly travels around to the different Boundless facilities to fix problems at the facilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age;
• Must be able to communicate in English, including both spoken and in writing.
• Licensure/Certification: valid Ohio Driver’s License with Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles and proof of auto insurance.
• Experience: Two to three years proven experience working in the maintenance field or in a related area.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent

SPECIAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Working knowledge of tools, materials, methods and practices used in maintenance and occupational hazards and safety precautions
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• The physical activities for this position involve: Balancing, Stooping, Pulling (up to 60 lbs), Pushing (up to 60 lbs), Standing, Kneeling, Reaching, Lifting (up to 60 lbs), Carrying (up to 60 lbs), Crouching, Crawling
• The essential sensory and communicative activities include: Feeling, Seeing, Speaking, Hearing
• An individual in this position will be exposed to the following environmental conditions when performing duties: Inside Environmental Conditions, Outside Environmental Conditions, Exposure to Fumes, Exposure to Airborne Particles, Exposure to Loud Noise Levels
