Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to resident service requests and complete work orders efficiently and professionally.
- Perform general repairs and maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, appliances, and other building systems.
- Auxiliary in the implementation of the property’s preventative maintenance plan to reduce emergency repairs and prolong the life of equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and areas for improvement.
- Help maintain the property’s curb appeal by assisting with groundskeeping, cleaning common areas, and removing trash and debris.
- Prepare units for new residents, including turnover maintenance, painting, and repairs.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure inventory of tools, parts, and supplies is properly stocked.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies at all times.
- Aid in monitoring vendor performance and report issues to the Maintenance Manager.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of general maintenance experience, preferably in multifamily or student housing.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
- EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) required.
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification is a plus (if applicable).
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in a variety of environmental conditions.
