Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Person contributes to the hotel's commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork. This position is key to bringing the Hyatt Place experience to life. The role involves general maintenance and repairs in guest suites, meeting spaces, and front of house areas, including guest suite and public area entry-level preventative maintenance. Some repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment may also be performed.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment
• Offer welcoming, helpful, and exceptional service to guests
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment in guest suites and public areas
• Work flexible hours, including AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

• One year building maintenance experience, with hotel experience preferred
• Customer service experience, preferably in a hotel or related field
• Strong command of the English language, including speaking, reading, and writing
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment with guest interaction
• Schedule flexibility for AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate to heavy amounts of weight (minimum of 20 lbs)
• Basic computer skills, such as Word and Excel

Qualifications

• Experience performing repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment
• Customer service experience, preferably in a hotel or related field
• High school diploma or equivalent required
