Maintenance Technician
About the role
Holtec International is seeking Maintenance Technicians to support its manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities include maintaining, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems. Ideal candidates will have strong mechanical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to supporting both routine and urgent needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems
- Ensure minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance
- Install, repair, and upgrade production machinery and auxiliary systems
- Conduct equipment inspections and preventive maintenance tasks
- Support the commissioning and decommissioning of machinery
- Absorb and apply technical instructions, diagrams, equipment manuals, and schematics
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, efficiency, and operational uptime
- Ensure compliance with safety codes and internal procedures
- Work closely with Maintenance Manager, Shop Managers, and Production Supervisors
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance or industrial experience, including relevant military or technical training
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, lubrication, and power transmission systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, diagrams, equipment manuals, and schematics
- Strong understanding of safety procedures in an industrial setting
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Physical ability to support shop-floor operations, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, kneeling, and working in potentially adverse environmental conditions
Desirable Qualifications
- Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or related field
- Experience with overhead cranes, mobile equipment, and welding support equipment
- Working knowledge of electrical schematics, motor control systems, and PLC troubleshooting
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment subject to quality standards and safety regulations

Qualifications
