Responsibilities
- Maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Replace or repair defective components including motors, drives, belts, bearings, pulleys, sensors, relays, and switches.
- Install and repair electrical wiring, conduit, and related equipment on machinery and facility systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
- Use diagnostic tools, measurement devices, and repair tools to identify and correct equipment issues.
- Operate machining equipment (lathe, mill, drill press, grinders) to fabricate or repair parts as needed.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on facility systems including lighting, power distribution, and building infrastructure.
- Maintain plant grounds including snow removal and ensuring access to entrances and fire hydrants.
- Operate forklifts, lifts, and other maintenance equipment as required.
- Process Improvement & Engineering Support
- Work with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and identify root causes.
- Assist in implementing equipment upgrades, process improvements, and automation projects.
- Support installation, modification, and commissioning of new or improved equipment.
- Provide input on equipment reliability, maintainability, and efficiency improvements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, productivity, and equipment uptime.
- Operational Support
- Review work orders and document maintenance activities.
- Maintain maintenance supplies and parts inventory.
- Assist with equipment setup, adjustments, and production support as needed.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Safety and Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout requirements.
- Adhere to company policies and AS9100 quality requirements.
- Support training, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
- Other Duties
- Work overtime as operational needs require.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and use of hands and tools.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in industrial environments.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work at heights or in confined spaces.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on-call as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
- Knowledge of lockout/tagout and safe work practices.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to use measurement and diagnostic tools.
- Basic computer skills and strong attention to detail.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to adapt to changing production needs.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $30.60 - $37.40 hourly.
