About the role
This position is responsible for all technical matters related to general apartment maintenance. In addition to technical maintenance tickets, this position will assist with unit turnovers and be part of the after-hours on-call rotation. The Maintenance Technician directly reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.Responsibilities
- Assist with unit turnovers
- Work independently and as a member of a team
- Handle all technical maintenance tasks including appliance repairs, general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, drywall and painting
- Oversee work performed by contractors
- Be part of the after-hours on-call rotation
Requirements
- 3+ years maintenance experience
- Energetic, self-motivated individual who is able to work as a team
- Previous experience with apartment maintenance; appliance troubleshooting, drywall, and painting
- HVAC/CFC Certification is preferred
- Able to understand and oversee work performed by contractors
- Pleasant and professional demeanor at all times
- Reliable transportation
- Extensive mobility and excellent physical condition
- Able and willing to work weekends and be part of an on-call rotation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
