Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to handle all technical matters related to general apartment maintenance in Lexington Park, Maryland. This position involves addressing maintenance tickets, assisting with unit turnovers, and participating in the after-hours on-call rotation. The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Community Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform appliance repairs, general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, drywall, and painting
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance tickets
• Assist with unit turnovers
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation
• Understand and oversee work performed by contractors

Requirements

• 2+ years of prior apartment maintenance experience
• Energetic, self-motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with appliance troubleshooting, drywall, and painting
• HVAC/CFC Certification is a plus
• Pleasant and professional demeanor at all times
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Extensive mobility and excellent physical condition
• Ability and willingness to work weekends and be part of an on-call rotation

Hourly wage is dependent on experience and certification.
