Key Responsibilities
- Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.
- Diagnose equipment issues, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective control modules, test repairs, and make necessary adjustments.
- Perform a variety of facility maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, HVAC, and general janitorial work.
- Complete preventive maintenance activities and support ongoing PM programs to reduce downtime and maintain equipment reliability.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively across a range of maintenance disciplines.
- Read and interpret drawings, sketches, OEM instructions, and specifications to complete maintenance and repair work accurately.
- Schedule Final schedule will be determined with the selected candidate. Start times will be chosen between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Very occasional Saturday work may be required for project work.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform most of the following: carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, masonry, machine repair, welding, plant layout, painting, HVAC, and janitorial work.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in maintenance and facility repair work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use sound judgment when diagnosing and resolving issues.
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused, with the ability to work independently and follow through on projects.
- Able to work with a sense of urgency while managing diversified duties in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, OEM instructions, and specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Able to become certified in the operation of all forklifts used at TCI.
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of related work experience, or 2 years of related education.
