Maintenance Technician

Gregory Tube, located in Athens, AL, is part of Gregory Industries, a company with over 125 years of experience in metals and manufacturing steel products. We are seeking a highly qualified Maintenance Technician for the afternoon shift.

About the Role

This is a salaried non-exempt position eligible for overtime. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours to be determined.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair 480 volts, 3-phase, and control circuits.
• Apply knowledge of DC crane controls.
• Read electrical schematics and perform light welding and burning.
• Locate electrical issues, diagnose, and repair a variety of electrical equipment or systems.
• Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics to diagnose equipment issues.
• Understand and interpret electrical drawings and wiring.
• Apply thorough working knowledge of the current version of the electrical code.
• Use mathematics and standard electrical formulas in troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance.
• Experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics is preferred.
• Knowledge of strut mill processes is an asset.
