About the role
The Maintenance Technician supports operations at a highly automated dairy facility south of La Crosse, WI. The role ensures safe, compliant, and reliable operation of production, packaging, and utility systems in a 24/7 operation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operation of production, packaging, and utility systems
- Maintain pumps, conveyors, separators, and pasteurizers
- Work with advanced automation, robotics, and pasteurization systems
- Read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and electrical drawings
- Manage ammonia refrigeration, boilers, and wastewater systems
- Support a mission-driven environment with a focus on food safety, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement
- Work independently on a 6pm-6am shift
Requirements
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food/beverage preferred)
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with PLCs, VFDs, and automated packaging equipment
- Familiarity with instrumentation, calibration, and sanitary process systems
- Safety-conscious mindset with ability to work independently
Qualifications
- Commitment to food safety, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement
Skills
- Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- PLCs, VFDs, and automated packaging equipment proficiency
- Pumps, conveyors, separators, and pasteurizers maintenance
