Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician supports operations at a highly automated dairy facility south of La Crosse, WI. The role ensures safe, compliant, and reliable operation of production, packaging, and utility systems in a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operation of production, packaging, and utility systems
• Maintain pumps, conveyors, separators, and pasteurizers
• Work with advanced automation, robotics, and pasteurization systems
• Read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and electrical drawings
• Manage ammonia refrigeration, boilers, and wastewater systems
• Support a mission-driven environment with a focus on food safety, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement
• Work independently on a 6pm-6am shift

Requirements

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food/beverage preferred)
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency with PLCs, VFDs, and automated packaging equipment
• Familiarity with instrumentation, calibration, and sanitary process systems
• Safety-conscious mindset with ability to work independently
