Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician located in Kansas City, KS, reports to our Maintenance Manager. The successful candidate will:

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs/troubleshooting to mechanical and some electrical equipment (such as pumps, compressed air, high-pressure steam boiler, and hydraulic systems).
• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance and lubricator tasks.
• Aid with various maintenance projects.
• Participate in general housekeeping and maintenance organization.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent; Vocational School or Certification desired.
• 5+ years' industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and complete basic mathematical functions.
• 120-480 VAC volt, three-phase primary, 120 VAC control voltage experience required.
• VFD experience required
• Both threaded and flanged pipe assembly/installation experience required.
• Welding experience required.
• Blackmer, Viking, Gorman-Rupp pump, Mechanical seal experience desired.
• Power Take Off experience desired.
• Fork truck repair experience desired.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work in both a team environment and independently.

Pay

FUCHS offers competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The range for this position is $35+ per hour, but actual compensation will vary depending upon a new hire's experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.

Schedule

This position is for 1st Shift, with working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Flexibility may be required to support production needs, including occasional overtime.
