Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Completes all service requests as assigned.
• Completes the care, maintenance, and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or the management company.
• Serves as a point of contact for residents regarding maintenance needs.
• Assists in preventive maintenance projects.
• Escalates unresolved service issues to the Service Director.
• Participates in "on call" rotation and responds to emergency calls as needed.
• Communicates effectively with residents, vendors, and co-workers.
• Operates within company safety policies at all times.
• Performs weekend work as required.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in apartment maintenance preferred.
• HVAC experience with certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal).
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred.
• Proficient in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repair.
• Proficient in use of computers and online applications.
• Working knowledge of property systems such as Yardi, Entrata, and HappyCo preferred.

• Strong constant finger and hand dexterity with ability to grasp/turn, touch, feel, and reach.
• Strong sensory skills such as good eyesight, good hearing; ability to comprehend and speak.
• Constant walking, standing, and sitting alternately; frequent climbing of stairs; occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, squatting, pushing/pulling, and reaching above shoulders.
• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs; occasionally lifting and/or moving 50 lbs or more.
• Frequent exposure to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, high and precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
