Maintenance Technician

The Role

Fogelman is seeking a Certified Maintenance Technician for Westbury Mews Apartments in Summerville, Charleston. This position offers competitive pay, an on-call stipend, and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance service requests and repairs as assigned.
• Ensure all make-ready units are completed.
• Maintain and inventory supplies and equipment.
• Supply personal tools and ensure their proper use.
• Clean work area, tools, and equipment.
• Assist in preventive maintenance projects.
• Escalate unresolved service issues to the Service Director.
• Participate in "on call" rotation and respond to emergency calls.
• Communicate effectively with residents, vendors, and colleagues.
• Operate within company safety policies at all times.
• Occasionally work weekends.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in apartment maintenance preferred.
• HVAC experience with certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal).
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred.
• Proficient in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repair.
• Proficient in computer use and online applications.
• Working knowledge of property systems such as Yardi, Entrata, and HappyCo preferred.
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance may be required depending on the property.
