Maintenance Technician

Safety

• Meet all operating safety rules in accordance with X-Cel and local safety regulations.
• Safely handle and process materials including raw, processed, and hazardous waste.
• No loose clothing, hair or jewelry.
• No smoking (except in designated areas).
• Safety glasses recommended.
• Report all accidents no matter how minor (no exceptions).

Maintenance

• Ensure all scheduled maintenance is performed on time and documented correctly.
• Communicate any concerns regarding equipment to the Technical Manager.
• All purchases or spending must be approved in writing prior to purchase (see Purchase Requisition).
• All facility maintenance must be monitored by this associate.
• Report any needs to the Tech. Manager.
• This associate is responsible to complete and store all records that they use. This will be reviewed by Management.
• PM all machinery and help develop and maintain AM/PM Callendar.
• Work on and maintain existing conveyor lines and associated equipment.
• Utilize existing Skill trade knowledge as well as develop new knowledge while working with other associates.
• Maintain operation of all systems (PTED, Paint, Assembly) and all associated equipment.
• Preform Facility maintenance tasks as required.
• Preform Root Cause analysis for trouble shooting all given down time.
• Preform and utilize Kizan for continual improvement of existing systems.

Quality

• Avoid any downtime on the Production line due to maintenance related issues.
• Ensure all scheduled maintenance is performed without exception so that equipment is able to run according to design specifications.
• Communicate any and all concerns regarding equipment to Maintenance Manager.
• Conduct inventory audit on critical spare parts as directed by Maintenance Manager.
• Obtain a complete understanding of all Quality Management System Procedures that relate to your area.

Housekeeping

• It is your responsibility to appropriately clean areas where maintenance is performed.
• You are responsible for the cleanliness of the maintenance area inside the plant.
• You are responsible for cleaning up after yourself while on breaks (i.e. cans, bottles, wrappers etc..).

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Commitment to pursue the above 5 years experience or more may be substituted at management’s discretion.
• Previous experience in a production environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Blue print interpretation.
• Basic knowledge of ISO/IATF16949:2016 Management System.
• Participation in an employee ownership and/or empowered team environment.

• Interest in a flexible, multi-skilled work environment.
• Ability to work additional hours as required.
• Physical strength to perform tasks.
