Description Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some flexibility, on-call rotation, and occasional overtime required Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour, depending on experience Position Summary The Maintenance Technician helps maintain a safe, clean, and attractive environment for Fairhaven residents, staff, and visitors. This role performs a variety of maintenance, repair, preventative maintenance, and grounds-related duties throughout the campus. Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance*Flexible Spending Account (FSA)*Life Insurance*Short-Term Disability Insurance*403(b) Retirement PlanPaid Time Off (PTO)Seven Paid Holidays*Paid Birthday Recognition Day*Reduced-Price Employee LunchesAvailable to full-time employees (30+ hours per week) Essential Duties Complete maintenance and repair work orders.Perform basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance repairs.Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems.Perform Life Safety Code inspections and maintenance.Assist with facility setups, grounds work, and snow removal.Complete general handyman tasks such as replacing light bulbs, batteries, and toilet seats.Respond to resident maintenance requests as needed.Assist with janitorial tasks when necessary.Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment throughout the facility. Qualifications Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and perform physical maintenance work.Ability to work independently and solve problems.Experience using power tools, maintenance equipment, and snow removal equipment.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to follow safety procedures and Fairhaven policies.Comfortable working in a Christian retirement community.Available for on-call rotations, snow crew assignments, and occasional overtime.Valid driver's license required. Preferred Experience Three or more years of maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare, senior living, or institutional setting.Trade school training or experience in a skilled trade is a plus.
