Maintenance Technician

Primary Goals and Responsibilities

• Assists one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades
• Maintains tools and materials supply
• Cleans work area, machines and/or equipment
• Assists general maintenance workers by holding materials or tools or performing other tasks as directed
• Other duties as assigned

Role Requirements

• Experienced in industrial safety practices
• Has manufacturing plant experience
• Can read layout drawings
• Has 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing facility

Working Conditions

• Required to communicate in an industrial setting at a moderate noise level
• Required to stand and walk on a concrete surface for 8 hours per day
• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust for focus

Work Environment

• Moving mechanical parts
• Noise levels moderate to loud
• Non-climate control facility environment
