Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures to minimize equipment downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Perform installations, modifications and adjustments to equipment and components as needed.
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and promote safe work practices in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, equipment histories and parts inventories using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Aid with machine setup, changeovers and production support to ensure on-time operations.
- Perform basic preventative and predictive maintenance tasks, including alignment, lubrication, belt replacements and electrical testing.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or vocational training in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical disciplines preferred.
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills; experience with motors, drives, controls, pneumatics and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Working knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and CMMS software.
- Proficient with hand and power tools, electrical testing equipment and basic measurement tools.
- Certifications such as OSHA 10, forklift operator, or electrical trade certifications are a plus.
- Experience with PLCs and VFDs are desirable.
