About the Role

Under direct supervision from Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for routine maintenance of CRISTA Facilities. Performs special projects and assignments as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Operate small power equipment and hand tools
• Move equipment as needed
• Assist other Maintenance Technicians as needed
• Provide routine preventive maintenance as directed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Occasional overtime or unusual hours for on-call responsibilities or emergencies
• Working outdoors in inclement or harsh weather as directed
• Reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC)

Education and Experience

• No previous maintenance experience required
• High School diploma or equivalent

Licenses and Certifications

• Current, valid Washington State driver’s license
• Current First Aid / CPR certification

Other Considerations

• Good mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools and their use
• Able to follow verbal and written directions
• Able to perform ladder work
• Able to learn and use cloud-based work order system
• Able to lift 60 pounds

Prior Experience

• Experience in building maintenance, or trade apprenticeship preferred

Software and Equipment Knowledge

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade school / Vocational technical training
