Maintenance Technician

Description

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. They are now hiring an experienced Full-Time Maintenance Technician in Allentown, PA.

Responsibilities

• Develop a schedule of basic maintenance tasks
• Complete required maintenance tasks in a timely manner
• Ensure repairs are made timely in a way that is safe and in compliance with the local laws and regulations
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and structural components including appliances, fans, lights, flooring, carpets, paneling, doors, etc.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks including painting, spackling, and basic electrical or plumbing work
• Advise management when an outside contractor may be necessary
• Review contractor estimates to ensure they accurately reflect the required repairs and reasonable job costs

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with three years of maintenance experience
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Complete all state and agency required training per state guidelines
• Able to work safely with hands and power tools
• Experience with problem solving against multiple priorities
