Maintenance Technician

Summary of Job Duties

• Provide preventative and episodic maintenance, service and repair in the area of mechanical, electrical, painting, carpentry, plumbing and other services covering multiple sites.
• Occasional installations or relocation of furniture, equipment and decorative items.
• In addition to facility repairs, the Maintenance Technician (MT) will also provide home repairs for participants as authorized by Community LIFE Interdisciplinary Teams.
• The MT must be knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in the above areas.

Required Education

• Trade school or other relevant training in applicable field

Required Experience

• One year experience in the maintenance field (preferably in healthcare facility maintenance)

Required Certifications/Licensure

• Valid PA Driver's License

Required Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities

• Experience in maintenance trades
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
• Must be able to operate a wide variety of hand and power tools
• Broad based knowledge of building codes
• Must have strong communication skills
• Ability to accept and utilize supervision to maintain high standards of quality
• Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong team building and conflict resolution skills
• Dependable, resourceful and flexible
• Basic computer use
