Summary of Job Duties
- Provide preventative and episodic maintenance, service and repair in the area of mechanical, electrical, painting, carpentry, plumbing and other services covering multiple sites.
- Occasional installations or relocation of furniture, equipment and decorative items.
- In addition to facility repairs, the Maintenance Technician (MT) will also provide home repairs for participants as authorized by Community LIFE Interdisciplinary Teams.
- The MT must be knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in the above areas.
Required Education
- Trade school or other relevant training in applicable field
Required Experience
- One year experience in the maintenance field (preferably in healthcare facility maintenance)
Required Certifications/Licensure
- Valid PA Driver's License
Required Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities
- Experience in maintenance trades
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
- Must be able to operate a wide variety of hand and power tools
- Broad based knowledge of building codes
- Must have strong communication skills
- Ability to accept and utilize supervision to maintain high standards of quality
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong team building and conflict resolution skills
- Dependable, resourceful and flexible
- Basic computer use
